Côte d'Ivoire MOC

Côte d'Ivoire is West Africa's dominant coffee producer, cultivating Robusta almost exclusively in the humid equatorial forest zones of the southwest and centre-west. Once the world's leading Robusta exporter in the 1970s, the country's production profile has been shaped by post-independence state pricing policy, the collapse of international coffee agreements in 1989, and the disruption of the 2002–2011 civil conflict. This MOC organises knowledge about Ivorian coffee geography, the Robusta-dominant production system, and the institutional structures governing the sector.
