Overview

Welcome to the starting point of your barista journey. The Foundation level introduces you to the essential practical skills behind the espresso bar — calibrating your grinder, pulling consistent espresso shots, steaming and texturing milk, and preparing classic drinks like cappuccinos and flat whites. No prior barista experience is required, and the focus is on building good habits in a supervised environment.

Barista Level 1 represents the foundation stage of professional barista development, typically spanning the first one to two months of employment. At this stage, the barista develops core technical competencies under supervision, acquires essential product knowledge, and establishes the service habits required for consistent, safe beverage preparation.
