Nicaragua MOC¶
Nicaragua is Central America's largest country and a growing specialty coffee origin, cultivating washed Arabica across the northern and central highlands at 900–1,700 metres. The country's specialty identity has been built through the Cup of Excellence programme (active since 2002) and a strong cooperative sector that has invested in quality infrastructure and direct-trade relationships. Jinotega and Nueva Segovia are the most internationally recognised regions; the Bourbon variety is the flagship specialty expression. This MOC organises knowledge about Nicaraguan coffee geography, regional terroir, cooperative structures, and the variety landscape.
