Coffee's character is shaped by the region where it is grown — the intersection of altitude, climate, soil, variety, and processing tradition that defines each origin's distinct profile. The three broad producing zones, Africa, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, each carry characteristic flavour tendencies, though significant variation exists at the country and sub-regional level.
