Coffee Breeding and Genetics MOC¶
Coffee breeding is the science and practice of developing improved coffee varieties with better yield, quality, disease resistance, and climate adaptation, drawing on classical genetics, molecular biology, field evaluation, and farmer participation. This MOC organises all knowledge related to variety development, genetic conservation, propagation, and the global programmes working to sustain coffee production into the future. It sits under Coffee Botany and Varietals MOC.
