Overview

Cold brew is coffee produced by steeping coarsely ground coffee in cold or room-temperature water for an extended period — typically 12–24 hours — without heat. The low-temperature extraction produces lower acidity, high perceived sweetness, and a smooth, rounded profile compared to hot-brewed coffee. See Cold Brew Coffee and Cold Brewing for full encyclopedia articles on this method.
