Overview

China's specialty coffee market grew rapidly from the mid-2010s, driven by urbanisation, a young affluent consumer base, and the expansion of both domestic specialty chains — such as Manner Coffee and Seesaw — and international specialty brands entering the Chinese market. China also produces coffee in Yunnan province, where a growing number of farms are achieving specialty-grade recognition for their Arabica, adding a domestic production dimension to the country's expanding specialty coffee identity.
