Overview

The Colombian terroir profile describes the sensory characteristics produced by Colombia's Andean growing conditions — predominantly volcanic andisol soils, altitudes of 1,200–2,300 m, moderate temperatures, and dual annual harvest cycles. Colombian coffees are broadly characterised by moderate to bright citrusy or malic acidity, medium to full body, pronounced caramel and chocolate sweetness, and clean finish attributable to the dominance of washed processing.
