Espresso Tonic¶
A refreshing, non-alcoholic (or spiked) drink with a beautiful layered presentation.
Ingredients¶
- 1 shot espresso (freshly brewed, cooled)
- 4 oz tonic water
- Ice
- Lemon or orange twist (garnish)
- Optional: 1 oz vodka or gin
Instructions¶
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour tonic water over the ice.
- Slowly pour cooled espresso over the back of a spoon to create layers.
- Garnish with a citrus twist.
- Stir before drinking.
Tips¶
- Chill the espresso quickly in the freezer for 2–3 minutes before layering.
- Add vodka or gin for a boozy version.
