Espresso Tonic

A refreshing, non-alcoholic (or spiked) drink with a beautiful layered presentation.


Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso (freshly brewed, cooled)
  • 4 oz tonic water
  • Ice
  • Lemon or orange twist (garnish)
  • Optional: 1 oz vodka or gin

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour tonic water over the ice.
  3. Slowly pour cooled espresso over the back of a spoon to create layers.
  4. Garnish with a citrus twist.
  5. Stir before drinking.

Tips

  • Chill the espresso quickly in the freezer for 2–3 minutes before layering.
  • Add vodka or gin for a boozy version.
