Overview¶
National coffee associations represent the interests of the coffee industry at a country level, covering producers, roasters, importers, exporters, and retail businesses. They organise national barista championships that feed into the World Coffee Events system, promote quality standards, lobby governments on trade policy, and coordinate industry education and research. Examples include the Specialty Coffee Association of Australia (SCAA), the National Coffee Association (NCA) of the USA, and the Japan Specialty Coffee Association (JSCA).
