Overview

National barista championships are country-level competitions, sanctioned by the SCA and World Coffee Events, that determine which competitor represents their nation at the World Barista Championship, World Brewers Cup, and other World Coffee Events competitions. They also serve as important local community events, raising standards and creating aspiration within national specialty coffee scenes. Competitors typically present a 15-minute routine comprising espresso, milk beverage, and signature drink courses, judged according to the same criteria used at the world level.
