Overview¶
Coffee contracts formalise the terms of green coffee purchases between buyers and sellers, specifying price, volume, quality parameters (cup score, defect limits, moisture content), delivery timing, payment terms, and origin. Specialty contracts typically differ from commodity contracts by including quality minimums (often 84+ SCA score), named producer or cooperative, and multi-year commitments that provide income stability for producers.
