Overview¶
The Barista Guild of America (BGA) was a professional membership organisation for baristas in the United States, operating as a chapter of the SCA. It provided community, education, and events for barista professionals, including training camps and regional competitions, helping to raise the professional status of baristas across the country. Following the merger of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) in 2017, the BGA was restructured into the SCA's broader unified membership and community framework.
